Viaplay Group’s first Icelandic original is a six-part crime series based on the international bestselling ‘Stella Blómkvist’ novels, and features some of the country’s hottest creative talents. The series was viewed more than 150,000 times in its first week on Icelandic streaming service Símans Premium (Iceland’s population is around 335,000). Heida Reed (BBC’s ‘Poldark’) headlines and Óskar Thór Axelsson (‘Black’s Game’; ‘Trapped’) directs. The series is written by Jóhann Ævar Grímsson, Nanna Kristín Magnúsdóttir and Andri Óttarsson. Sagafilm, Iceland’s leading independent production company, produces and Red Arrow International handles international distribution.
