When two mysterious deaths interrupt Larvik detective William Wisting’s Christmas, it’s the beginning of a showdown with the deadliest killer of them all. ‘Wisting’ is one of Norway’s biggest ever drama productions and has received EUR 2.8 million in funding from the Norwegian Film Institute. The crime drama is based on Jørn Lier Horst’s bestselling ‘Wisting’ books and stars Sven Nordin (‘Valkyrien’; the Oscar-nominated ‘Elling’) and Hollywood’s Carrie-Anne Moss (‘The Matrix’; ‘Memento’). ‘Wisting’ is created and directed by Katarina Launing (‘Kick It!’) and Trygve Allister Diesen (‘The Third Eye’), written by Diesen and Kathrine Valen Zeiner (‘Eyewitness’), and produced by Cinenord Drama AS and Denmark’s Good Company Films. Banijay Rights distribute worldwide. ‘Wisting’ premiered exclusively on Viaplay on 11 April 2019, followed by TV3 in Norway.
